Validating English Language Entrance Test at a Saudi University for Health Sciences

This paper aims to validate the English Language Entrance Test for King Saud bin Abdulaziz University Health Science (hereafter KSAU-ET). It supports argument regarding using specially designed in-house entrance tests at health universities by showcasing test’s development, administration, and validation process. presents a new framework test that is informed various existing frameworks such as Messick (1996), Sireci (1998) and, Weir (2005), with specific focus on notions of unitary practicality. The proposed treats validity pre-, during, post-test process collects evidence from each phase support overall validity. data were collected different tools through three stages was taken 474 candidates who applied join KSAU-HS Stream II medical program. confirmed reliable (alpha > 7) reasonably meet university’s needs select program’s top prospective candidates. Nevertheless, study highlighted importance collecting further in future studies including more selection criteria regression model analysis.
